I recently had the opportunity to stop in and visit The Burrard Arts Foundation (*BAF) gallery and studio which opened at 108 East Broadway Avenue across the street from Company of Cars.
*BAF is a non-profit visual arts organization based in Vancouver, B.C. Their mission is to promote the development of, and excellence in, the visual arts in Canada – accomplished through innovative art projects and programs exhibited in the urban environment.
*BAF seeks to foster an appreciation of the Arts in Vancouver by showcasing local and global artistic talent and dialogue within the public realm. Their objective is to provide opportunities that enable artists to produce their work and share it with the world.
*BAF STUDIO is a non-profit art gallery. It’s a place that promotes emerging artists, and opens it’s doors to more established ones. It’s a place to inspire, imagine, and create, and a hub for new perspectives and attitudes in contemporary art. *BAF STUDIO is open to the public, and there is no charge to view any of their exhibits.
The facility consists of 2,000 square feet of exhibition space that is split up into 3 distinct galleries, exhibiting new and exciting work from contemporary artists and curators. They have another 1,200 square feet of space dedicated to the production of art (and a Residency Program).
At *BAF they believe that access to art (and the surrounding conversations) should should be available to all. The success of their programming relies on your support!
*BAF is a Registered Canadian Charity, all donations are tax deductible. You can find more information on their website http://www.burrardarts.org
Beautiful studio! 10/10 recommend everyone to go visit.
