During the late 1980’s, Nissan started development of two luxury vehicles for the North American market; a sedan and a coupe. These vehicles were launched in 1989 to worldwide recognition under the newly formed Infiniti brand. Combining Japanese reliability with the best of modern luxury, Infiniti soon gained recognition as an industry leader.
