I love working at Company of Cars because I believe we have a really great environment, a friendly supportive atmosphere and awesome products chosen by our world-class team! It’s a great place to make friends, meet new people and learn about different cultures.
I grew up in Brazil in a small house with 3 large brothers. Tired of the same routine and seeking adventure, when I turned 20, I moved to Japan. While exciting for me, this was a huge deal for my family as I was the first person to move overseas. While a move that big is never easy, I love a challenge and eventually found my footing despite having no language experience, family or a support system in Japan. Thereafter, I lived in Australia, Japan (again) and finally Vancouver, since 2005.

What does your job entail at Company of Cars? More than just helping clients buy or sell their vehicles, I strive to perfect the ownership experience for them.
What is something about you that nobody knows? I volunteer my time to help people in the Downtown Eastside.
How do you spend your time when you’re not working? I like activities that get me outside and moving such as Soccer with my son, bike rides, picnics, and BBQs. When the weather’s not cooperating (which is often), I like to do Crossfit and play Squash.
My first car was: A 1990 VW Golf I bought soon after coming back from living in Japan. The car was a love/hate relationship for me. I loved it because it was the first large purchase I ever made exclusively from savings, yet I hated it because it was expensive for me at the time and was stolen!
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Moving to Japan by myself without speaking the language or having any type of support system there was definitely the craziest.
